Certificate II in Polymer Processing

 

This qualification is suitable for equipment and machine operators, product assemblers, product finishers, product dispatchers and team members.

 

This course takes 18 months or 440 nominal hours.

 

Successful completion will require competency in units that relate to work defined as aligned to the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF) Level 2.

 

This qualification will be issued upon successful completion of fourteen (14) units of competency, comprising: three (3) manatory competencies; and at least three (3) technical competencies from the '200' series. (This may include up to two (2) from the '300' series); The remainder could be selected from the elective competencies from this Training Package, and up to three (3) competencies from another endorsed Training Package.

 

The techinical competencies chosen for this certificate cannot be counted towards the achievement of a second qualification at this certificate level under this Training Package. A different set of competencies must be chosen for this purpose. If a trainee holds a Certificate I under TMSA10207 Certificate I in Process Manufacturing Training Package, an additional seven (7) competencies are required to qualify for Certificate II.

 

Successful completion will require competency in units that relate to work defined as aligned to the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF) Level 2. [The relevant MSA units for these certificates are available as electives in PMB07.]

 

A maximum of four units may be imported from other Training Packages.

 

No Certificate II unit requires a prerequisite.
