About Us

I first became involved in the world of fibreglass when I bought my first Bolwell Mk 7. However, when Bolwell Corporation bought out the Nagari, like all young bloods at the time, I wanted one. But as it was financially out of my reach at that time of my life I just had to dream. Ten or so years later I sought and gained Bolwell factory approval to build my own. So to truly understand the idiosyncrasies of the fibreglass technology, I went to a local TAFE here in Adelaide and learned all I could on how to work with these composite materials.

A very close friend at the time and myslef purchased the last Nagari body the Bolwell factory manufactured. So we both set to and built the moulds required 56 in all. Both of ours Bolwells were built together over a lot of years his a racing convertible and mine a coupe for the road. This included fabricating the steel chassis with a lot of improvements for racetrack work.

Then in 1978 I became the owner of my first business Shakespeare Fibreglassing. This company amongst other things beside repairing and manufacturing customary composite items, we also produced Fiberglass modular onsuite bathrooms for the building industry.

Unfortunately this business suffered due to the recession in the mid eighties and had to be wound up. I was head hunted by a local training RTO to come on board as their composite facilitator. This task I took up with zeal to train composite industry personal in Polymer Processing.

However owning my own business still longed inside me, so in 1992 I founded Composite Studio. to build race and Clubman cars. This become a secondary business to my training facilitating, and it wasn't until 2001 that I decided to establish my own Registered Training Organisation to concentrate on the composite industry. This RTO became know as The Innovation Training & Skill Centre which is now the leader in composite training in South Australia.

This time I had both businesses in one location which made administration easier to handle.
